First-time setup flow
VPNLZ Setup Guide
This page follows the complete setup flow, from creating an account to verifying the connection. For your first setup, follow the steps from start to finish and do not skip subscription updates or exit checks. Once complete, everyday use usually involves opening the client, updating the subscription, and choosing a suitable route. For protocol details, advanced routing, and long-term maintenance, continue with the Complete Guide.
Menu names may vary by operating system, client version, and interface language. Common labels include “Subscription,” “Configuration,” “Remote Configuration,” and “Import from Link.” If a button is in a different location, look for the same function and follow the instructions currently shown in the user panel.
Create an account
First, open the account creation page in the VPNLZ user panel. No email address is required; you can create an account with a username and password. Use a username you can recognize later, and choose a password you can store securely without reusing it across other websites.
On the page, enter your username and password in the corresponding fields, review them, and submit the form. If the username is already taken, choose a new name that is easy to recognize. If the password does not meet the requirements, adjust it according to the on-page rules. You will usually be taken to the user panel after creation. If the page returns to the login screen, sign in with the username and password you saved.
After signing in, confirm that you can see the overview, plans, and client sections. The account is now ready, but there is no active subscription to import yet, so continue by choosing a plan. Avoid creating multiple accounts in different browsers, as orders and subscriptions may end up under different usernames and become difficult to track.
Choose a plan and place your order
On the plans page, decide whether you need ongoing monthly service or prefer to keep a fixed data allowance for later use. Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. The main difference between the three monthly plans is the monthly allowance, so base your choice on how often you use the service rather than the plan name alone.
If your usage is irregular, consider a data package instead. Options include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Data remains available until used and never expires. Monthly subscriptions suit regular monthly connections across multiple apps, while data packages work better when usage is spaced out and you want to control your own pace. Both plan types support unlimited simultaneous devices, but connected devices share the available data.
After deciding on the plan type and allowance, click the selection button for the relevant plan to open the order confirmation page. Check the plan name, price, and billing type again, then pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. Do not open multiple order windows during payment. If the page does not update immediately, check the order history instead of creating the same order repeatedly.
VPNLZ offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. For the refund scope, application method, and process, see the full terms in the Refund Policy. If you selected the wrong monthly tier, you can also review the upgrade information on the plans page: for a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is prorated based on the remaining days.
Get your personal subscription
After the order status is confirmed, open the user panel overview. It brings together your current subscription details, data status, and client options. Find the subscription link or copy-subscription section and copy your personal link as instructed. This link lets clients retrieve the route list and receive updates; it is not a regular webpage address and should not be opened directly in a browser.
Your subscription link is tied to your account and should be protected like your login credentials. Do not paste it into public posts, shared documents, or screenshots. This guide does not show a real subscription address. If you need to understand the link format, treat the example below as a format sample only; it cannot connect to VPNLZ and contains no valid account information.
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
Keep the user panel open after copying the link, because the next step requires the client download method and import instructions. If subscription details are not visible, confirm that the order is complete and refresh the overview page. If the subscription still cannot be retrieved, visit the Help Center for account and subscription guidance. Do not edit characters in the link yourself.
Import a client
VPNLZ supports Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Linux. This page focuses on the usual setup flow for desktop and mobile platforms: get the client for your platform from the user panel, find its subscription manager, and paste in the personal subscription link you copied earlier. Client downloads and their specific access methods are available only in the user panel; this page does not host static installer links.
Before starting, make sure the system clock is correct, the user panel is accessible, and other clients that may control the system proxy or VPN permissions are closed. When multiple clients run at once, one may handle traffic even if another shows as connected, causing verification results to differ from expectations.
Windows import
In the user panel’s client section, choose Windows and get the corresponding client using the method provided there. After installing and opening it, look for an option such as “Subscription,” “Configuration Management,” or “Import from URL.” Paste the complete personal subscription link and update it. Once updated, the client should show a selectable list of regions or routes.
If nothing changes after pasting, check both ends of the link for extra spaces and confirm that the client’s subscription update has run. Some Windows clients separate the system proxy switch from the connection core, so enable the required mode according to the client’s instructions. Avoid changing advanced routing rules at this stage; the default configuration makes the first verification easier.
macOS import
Choose the macOS client entry in the user panel and follow the current instructions to obtain and install it. On first launch, macOS may ask you to approve app permissions or add a network configuration. Complete the system prompts, open the client’s configuration or subscription page, choose to add a subscription by link, paste your personal subscription address, and update it.
macOS menu bar clients usually put their main controls in the status bar icon at the top rather than in a separate main window. If you cannot find the route list after importing, open the menu bar icon and check the configuration selection, subscription update, and proxy mode. For the first setup, choose one route and connect; explore split routing or rule modes after verification is complete.
Android import
Open the Android client section in the user panel and get the corresponding client using the method provided. After opening it, find the option to add a configuration, manage subscriptions, or import from the clipboard. Paste and save your personal subscription link, update the subscription, then return to the client home screen and choose a route.
When connecting for the first time, Android will display a system VPN permission prompt. Read the prompt and allow the client to create the connection. Continue testing once the system VPN indicator appears in the status bar. If the client stops working after switching networks, reopen the app and check its connection status. Long-term background and battery-saving settings are covered in the Complete Guide.
iOS import
Check the user panel for the currently supported iOS client and access method. After installing it, return to the panel and copy your personal subscription link. Open the client, go to its configuration or subscription page, choose to add from a URL, paste the link into the appropriate field, and save it. After a successful update, you should see region and route options.
When connecting for the first time, iOS will request permission to add a VPN configuration. Follow the system interface to authorize it, then return to the client, choose a route, and start the connection. If another VPN configuration already exists, confirm that the active one belongs to the client where you imported the subscription. Do not delete work or organizational configurations whose purpose you cannot confirm; consult the device management instructions instead.
Choose a route and connect
After importing the subscription, run one update to ensure the client is using the current list from the user panel. VPNLZ covers 100+ countries and 150+ routes, so you do not need to try them one by one. Narrow the options according to the target website or app’s regional requirements, then choose a route in that region and connect.
A region match does not guarantee availability. The target service may also check the account region, content licensing, payment details, or its own terms of service. Verify the route region and the final access result separately. For AI Tools, Streaming, and other services with regional rules, review their published usage requirements before testing access.
Start the connection after choosing a route and wait until the client status is stable before opening a new browser tab or restarting the target app. Existing connections may continue using the network path from before the connection was established, so refreshing a page alone may not provide an accurate result. If the target app has been running in the background, fully quit and reopen it for a clearer test.
If the connect button quickly returns to a disconnected state, try another route in the same region and check whether the subscription updates normally. If no route connects, visit the Help Center and review the connection and verification topics. During initial setup, avoid changing DNS, proxy ports, and advanced routing rules at the same time, or it will be difficult to identify the source of the problem.
Verify the connection result
A client showing “Connected” only means the connection process has finished; it does not mean every app is using the route as expected. Verify in three layers: check the exit IP first, then the DNS result, and finally open the website or app you actually need. Only after all three pass can you confidently confirm that the current configuration is working.
First, open this site’s IP Check page, record the displayed exit region, and compare it with the region selected in the client. Location data may appear as a neighboring region in different databases, so focus on whether the exit location changed as expected rather than on one city name. This site does not promise city-level coverage; use the subscription list and actual test results as the reference.
Second, check DNS. If the exit location has changed but the target website still detects the original network environment, close old browser tabs, reopen the target app, and make sure another proxy program is not overriding the current settings. Do not change several DNS parameters at once. Test one variable at a time so you know which adjustment actually worked.
Third, access the actual target. After the page opens, also check whether sign-in, content loading, and continued access work normally. Network reachability and access to the target service account are separate matters: the account region, terms of service, and content licensing are controlled by the target service. If one target is unavailable while other websites work normally, try another route in the same region before checking the target service’s own requirements.
After verification, you can keep the working route as a daily option. When the network changes, the system updates, or the subscription contents change, update the subscription first and repeat the exit and target-app checks. For subscription maintenance, use across devices, split-routing rules, and more complete troubleshooting, continue with the Complete Guide.
Everyday use after setup
Once the first setup is complete, the daily routine can stay simple: open the client for your platform, update the subscription, choose a route based on the target region, connect, and check the actual access result. When switching devices, sign in to the same user panel on the new device, get the appropriate client, and import your personal subscription again. Simultaneous devices are unlimited, but all devices share the data in the current plan.
Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date, while data packages remain available until used and never expire. You can view your current subscription and order details in the user panel. For plan upgrades, refunds, connection issues, or account management, start with the Help Center. To understand the complete setup and maintenance flow, read the Complete Guide.
